The Goodbye Lane has sired countless champions, but there’s just something about the mares he produces with SKS Running Faucet that are a little extra special—and they have $1.7 million in earnings to back that theory up.

The Late SKS Running Faucet, a 1995 mare by Diamand Faucet and out of Moons Boogie by Trishs Moon shared owners with The Goodbye Lane in Utah’s Mark and Linda Jarvis. She had multiple starts on the racetrack in her younger years, resulting in three first-place finishes.

MJ Segers Fast Lane- $1,417,954

The world watched as Brandon Cullins and MJ Segers Fast Lane battled through the American Contender Tournament all winter long in 2024, dominating at every stage of the competition. They watched as the gritty black mare clinched a check for $1.1 million, too. This was no surprise to die-hard barrel racing fans: Seger has been leaving her mark on the open races and derbies since trainer and owner Rayel Little handed Cullins the reins. Prior to The American, Seger already boasted $317,954 in QData earnings, bringing her to $1,417,954 unofficially after her American win.

Seger was SKS Running Faucet’s last foal, according to a post Linda Jarvis made on social media after The American. However, she certainly isn’t the first of the foals that show SKS Running Faucet on their bottom half, and The Goodbye Lane on their top half to be in the winner’s circle.

SKS Running Faucet is currently Ranked No. 4 on QData’s All-Time producing barrel racing dam leaderboard. See who else made the cut here and be sure to check back throughout the year.

Slingshot Lane- $191,832

In 2018, Marcie Wilson, daughter of Mark and Linda Jarvis took the 2013 model out of SKS Running Faucet, Slingshot Lane to a successful futurity season.

Wilson boasted on social media at the close of the mare’s breakout season that Slingshot managed to not take a barrel down on any runs that year. Shortly after, her nieces Gracie, then Morgan stepped aboard Slingshot and continued her winning career.

In 2022, Morgan notched the title of National High School Rodeo Champion after a commanding season of Utah High School Rodeo. She’s continued to bank checks at rodeos and barrel races with her family of female jockeys, amassing $191,832 in her seven years of running.

MJ Fly Bye Lane- $45,167

MJ Fly Bye Lane, known as “Penny,” was first trained and campaigned by Timi Lickley. She had wins on the futurity and derby circuit with Lickley, then moved on to pay her dues at collegiate rodeos and open races with Bryana Lehrmann during her barrel racing career before it was cut short by injury.

“She was extremely honest and consistent to run,” Lehrmann said. “She wanted to make a perfect run every single time, and I had to ride her perfectly. She would react to any move I made, but she really built my confidence up.”

Lehrmann is now running Penny’s first foal, The Copperhead Road, who is by Blazin JetOlena as a futurity horse in 2024 and is thrilled to see what qualities Penny’s passing down to her offspring.
