At the Washington State Fair in Puyallup, Washington, two pools of barrel racers battled it out over the past three days of competition, and these are the top eight horse and rider combinations taking on the two rounds of competition on September 10.

So far, all barrel racers report that they plan to run the same horse in both rounds in the Puyallup finals. They’ll have to survive through one run in the eight-man round, then a four-man shootout to determine who cashes in for an estimated $13,000 in the first-place position.
