XV Wild Child and Tana Renick’s names comes up on TMB’s The Rundown often, and for good reason.

Renick won more than $350,000 on the mare, the hard way. Wild Child is 29 now and still shaping the sport through her offspring. On this episode of The Money Barrel, Kayla Jones sits down with Renick to talk about the mare that changed everything.

Renick grew up on sale barn ponies. That is where she got her eye. It is also a long way from owning a mare like Wild Child, who she bought back when she was not fashionably bred. A running-bred mare out of a cutting line. Renick gets into how she found her, what it took to get her bought, and how that one horse turned into a program.
