Cassie Brantmayer cashed four checks off one 15.678 at the Fa$t Ca$h Barrel Bash in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, Kim Schulze and Jessie Ann Chrisman took the futurity and derby averages at the Cowboy State Futurity in Rock Springs, Wyoming, and Jennifer Neudorf won both Pool A rounds at the Big Bang Barrel Race in Bowden, Alberta, all recapped on this week’s episode of The Rundown on The Money Barrel.

Fa$t Ca$h Barrel Bash (Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania)

CB Productions paid $123,060 across Aug. 7-9, running three single-go Open 4D days, a futurity, a derby, the Doug Merck Memorial sidepot and a three-run open average.

Saturday Open 4D champion ($3,923): Cassie Brantmayer and Coats Firewaterleo, 15.678 out of 553 runs, the biggest field of the weekend. Absolut Vanilla out of Fire Water Fetish, by Fire Water Flit. Ava Kitner and Hobby Nic were reserve at 15.804.

Four checks, one run ($7,750): that same 15.678 also won the Olive Branch Derby for $1,367, the Doug Merck Memorial for $1,456 and the Saturday Adult sidepot for $1,004. It is every dollar Brantmayer earned on the weekend.

Open 1D average champion (47.709 on three): Paige Superneau and Jaycees Secret, on runs of 15.962, 15.836 and 15.911. She won Friday and Sunday outright and placed third Saturday, worth $5,187 in open money before the average payout.

ERA Futurity 1D champion ($1,283): Melissa Kelly and Ima Dark Dreamer, 16.090 out of 39 runs, ahead of Kelly Carlson and Laicos Misty Babe. Roger Grow took the 2D on Vq At Full Draw at 17.095.

Olive Branch Derby reserve ($1,140): Jackie Torino Gates and Anita’s Noble Advice, 16.132, by Best Advice out of Trs Hailey’s Alibi. Nicole Lynn Carnes and Morgan Hutton tied for the 2D win at 16.685.

Cowboy State Futurity (Rock Springs, Wyoming)

An open futurity and derby ran alongside the stallion-incentive program, which carried $25,000 added to the Open Stallion Incentive Sweepstakes at $12,500 a day and 100 percent payback, plus $25,000 in Future Fortunes. The open futurity added $5,000, the stallion futurity $10,000.

Futurity average champion ($1,686): Kim Schulze and Aint Seen Sassy Yet, 30.823 on two, after winning the second round in 15.166. Aint Seen Nothin Yet out of Hotsass, by Royal Shake Em.

Futurity reserve ($1,294): Maggie Poloncic and Sharkee Bug Leo, 30.888, off a 15.526 first-round win. Shawne Bug Leo out of Hermiones Fame. The same two horses topped both rounds of the Cowboy State Stallion Futurity.

Derby average champion ($1,324): Jessie Ann Chrisman and Coats Fame Ta French, 30.300 on two, sweeping both rounds at 15.194 and 15.106. Traffic Guy out of Haulin Fanny, by Dash Ta Fame. C.J. Vondette and Zsa Zsa were reserve at 30.983.

Open 4D average champion (30.372): Maggie Poloncic and Aint Seen Her Yet (“JJ”), whose 15.097 also took the Sunday open and the Sunday Stallion Incentive Open. Amy Jo Reisdorfer and Glory On The Run were reserve at 30.801.

Sweepstakes Saturday 1D ($1,256): Juddy Farella and Snazzy Lil Dash, 15.240, by Dash Ta Fame, a run that also topped the Cowboy State Stallion Derby first round, the Saturday Stallion Incentive Open and the Saturday Youth 1D. Natalie Riley won the 2D, Jessie Kukowski the 3D and Lana Dacar the 4D.

Toria Madsen and Cruzn Hail ON My Cadi won the opening 3D High Roller Slot Race for $3,290, and Stephanie McCann and Shez Keepn The Dream swept the Senior.

Big Bang Barrel Race (Bowden, Alberta)

Two pools at the Bowden Rodeo Grounds, paid in the rounds with awards on the average, plus a full sidepot slate covering futurity, derby, mares, geldings, senior riders, senior horses, youth and rodeo. The outdoor was postponed with rain. Off the pattern, the Big Bang runs beach volleyball, cornhole and the Splash and Dash, a fundraiser for the Pigeon Lake Fire Department.

Pool A, three wins: Jennifer Neudorf won Run 1 on Bring The Sting in 17.125, Run 2 on Unleash Double Cash in 17.003, the fastest Pool A time, and the 1D average back on Bring The Sting at 34.392. The rounds paid $1,868 to each D winner, $2,024 for the Run 2 1D. The average paid in awards.

Pool A 2D average (35.442): Cordy Cox and Going for Golden, on matching 17.721s, with her Shez French N Famous fourth in the 1D average. Neudorf was second here on Dp Tres Trash at 35.459.

Pool B 1D average (34.860): Kayce Liptak went one-two, Howes R RedHot on matching 17.430s and Sr Effort Inmy Boots at 34.982.

Pool B Run 1 ($1,263 to each D winner): Chaney Akin and Smokin Aint I were the overall winners at 17.280, ahead of Alicia McComish, Maddy Farley and Megan Dick in the 2D, 3D and 4D. The round paid 10 deep.

Pool A average awards ran 10 deep in each D, from a buckle, jacket and Segway down to a Back on Track hood and tail bag.

ProRodeo Roundup

More than $330,000 paid to 238 barrel racers. Three Playoff Series rodeos anchored the week, at Lovington, New Mexico, Sikeston, Missouri, and Logan, Utah, and nine of the week’s 10 biggest checks came out of them.

Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo ($8,056): Emma Ricke, 16.03 on Frog, the largest single payout anywhere on the week. A fifth at Will Rogers made it $9,152. LaTricia Duke and Patti Hovland tied for second at 16.21, $5,840 each.

Lea County Fair and PRCA Rodeo ($7,366): Sydney Graham and Dupont First, 17.13, the richest barrel race on the schedule. A fourth at Cache County made it $10,760 on two checks, the biggest week of anyone in the country.

Cache County ($6,789): Tricia Aldridge, 16.84, the only check she cashed all week and the run that moved her into the top 15. Emma Smith was second in 16.97 and Makenzie Mayes third in 16.99.

$9,609 without a win: Raelin Jurgens was fourth at Lea County, seventh at Sikeston, second at Lawton and sixth at Will Rogers on IMA Epic Blurr Bug (“Bubba”), the second-biggest week in the country and a six-spot climb to 23rd.

Also won: Morgan Addison at Lawton, 17.01 for $3,931; Emma Smith at the Bozeman Stampede, 17.30 for $4,139; Lisa Lockhart at Bear Paw, 17.31, part of a $7,869 week; and Abby Fields at Larimer County, Colorado, 14.47 for $3,106. Lindsey Muggli took Missoula, Jayden Wilson La Crete, Alberta, Amanda Butler Coalville, Utah, and Kim Squires Vinita, Oklahoma, and Laura Lambert won twice, at Steamboat Springs and Garfield County.

World Standings Watch

Second through fifth are now stacked inside $2,941, the tightest the top of the board has been all season. Hayle Gibson-Stillwell still leads at $182,605 after a $2,869 week. Emily Beisel is the mover, second at Lovington on Vanilla Gorilla plus checks at Lawton and Vinita for an $8,694 week, fifth to third at $165,684. Kassie Mowry is up one to second at $166,954, Hailey Kinsel fourth at $165,403 on $59 won for the week, and Carlee Otero fifth at $164,013 on $6,758.

Tricia Aldridge’s Cache County win carried her from 16th to 15th at $82,086, a week after sitting $328 outside the cut. Summer Kosel, Loralee Ward and Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi hold 16th through 18th, separated by $1,524. Morgan Addison made the biggest jump on the board, 43rd to 34th, and Emma Smith went 56th to 48th at $40,613, with KariAnn Cross and Caitlyn White also new to the top 50.
