Last week’s episode named the Round 2 champions as the world champions at the NBHA Youth World. The world titles were decided in the finals: Kadisson Shank and Biankus A Fortune won the Youth championship at 14.668 for $4,076, and Summer Muhlenkamp and Ts French Traffic won the Teen championship at 14.596 for $6,602. The Rundown apologizes to those youth.
Royal Crown Futurity (Rapid City, South Dakota)
Champion ($64,125): Dusky Lynn Hall and Tornado Lane, 29.902 on two, after winning Round 2 in 14.692. By The Goodbye Lane out of ROH Docslil Rosie, by Frecklena Playboy. Breeder Brandi A. Zimmer posted the team left Rapid City with $115,812 with everything included.
Reserve ($64,125): Hallie Hanssen and JS Night Moves, 30.073, third in Round 1 and second in Round 2, and better than $93,000 on the weekend. Owned by McColee Land & Livestock, by Winners Version out of Judging Julie, by Judge Cash.
Third ($48,375): Molly Otto and Movin On Bye, 30.197, worth about $54,000 in total. Otto passed the $1 million mark as a jockey at this race.
Round 1 ($21,375): Tyler Rivette and Adios Ameegos, 14.808. Rivette also won the open.
2D average champion ($14,250): Caroline Boucher and One Slick Richard, 31.410.
Royal Crown Derby (Rapid City, South Dakota)
Champion ($22,060): Kassie Mowry and Force The Goodbye, 29.984 on two. By The Goodbye Lane out of VF Forcit First, by Burrs First Down.
Reserve ($19,413): Kappie Bryant and Smooth As Rico Suave, 30.023, ahead of Emily Beisel and Dashing Olie at 30.051.
Round winners: Bailey Alvarez and Bellas Epic Booker took Round 1 in 14.878, and Kit Johnson and Wolverine won Round 2 for $7,059, with $2,118 to the stallion and better than $900 to owner Alan Woodbry.
2D average champion ($4,706): Madison McIntosh and KVN Surfer Man, 31.507.
Wolverine, by The Goodbye Lane out of Rosas Cantina CC, added better than $22,000 with sidepots and crossed $105,000 in earnings. The Goodbye Lane also sired the futurity champion and the derby champion.
Breeders Elite Canada
More than $520,000 paid out, with the futurity and derby sweepstakes running $500 entries.
Futurity Sweepstakes champion ($29,243): Kennedy Smith and Sekret Agent Watson, 14.887, bred by Alison J. Low. Smith had won 3D money the day before.
Derby Sweepstakes champion ($17,562): Kirsty White and R Ace Of Spades, 14.375, on a horse she bred herself.
Andrea Udal and Nicks Fast Chic won the futurity 2D at 15.423 and Nancy Leischner and Buugatti the 3D at 15.892. Amanda Pellam and Miss Rios A Streaking took the derby 2D at 14.899, and Wendy Playfair and Royally Takin the 3D at 15.385.
The Expo Summer Classic (Glen Rose, Texas)
The 10th annual Summer Classic ran July 31 to Aug. 2 with a $20,000 open, a $1,500 youth and a $5,000-added Heatwave slot race, plus keys to the top three in the youth, open and slot race to win an elite trailer.
Open ($7,785 on the week): Skyla Peters and Pistol Whistle ran first and second out of 1,451 entries at 14.626 and 14.696 and won the slot race, and broke the Glen Rose arena record.
Trailer: Kenzie Stamps and Scooby.
Second in money ($4,925): Kaelyn Craddock, third and fourth in the 1D on PPVS Dirty Socks at 14.74 and 14.759.
Jennifer Fite was next at $4,662, ahead of Callie Albrecht at $3,586 and 2D champion Brylen Beicker at $3,415.
ProRodeo Roundup
Dodge City, Kansas ($30,000): Makenzie Mayes won Round 2, the short round and the average at 51.42 on three aboard Ronda Rousey for $8,672. Loralee Ward won Round 1 on Florari, switched to Tiny Bit Of Sass (“Sassy”) for the short round and banked $6,180. Summer Kosel led the average through two rounds on Apollo before a rough short round dropped her to ninth, still worth $4,778.
Castle Rock, Colorado ($27,000): McKenna Coronado won it for $7,484, with Carlee Otero second for $5,987 and Emma Kate Parr third for $4,865.
Heber City, Utah ($25,000): Sydney Graham and Dupont First (“Trump”) won for $7,740, the win that pushed her over $100,000 on the year. Tricia Aldridge was second on Adios Pantalones for $6,192 and world No. 1 Hayle Gibson-Stillwell fourth for $3,870.
Also won: Michelle Alley at Preston, Idaho ($4,398), with Graham second; Tricia Aldridge at Idaho Falls, Idaho ($3,619); Piper Cordes at Phillipsburg, Kansas ($3,809), where Summer Kosel’s third-place $2,476 ended up deciding the NFR bubble; Gracen Harman at Great Falls, Montana ($3,072); and Katelyn Scott at both Yuma and Kit Carson, Colorado, part of $4,548 across three rodeos.

World Standings Watch
Hayle Gibson-Stillwell holds No. 1 and stretches to about $179,700. Carlee Otero’s five-rodeo week pushes her past Emily Beisel to a projected No. 4, and Sydney Graham’s Heber City win vaults her into the $100,000 club at a projected No. 8. Makenzie Mayes climbs two spots to No. 12 off the Dodge City average, and McKenna Coronado is the week’s biggest jumper, up five to No. 20 on a four-rodeo, $13,414 haul.
The tightest line is the NFR bubble. Projected No. 15 is Summer Kosel at $75,624, who slipped past Tricia Aldridge at $75,297 by $328 on the strength of her Phillipsburg check. Aldridge sits 16th and Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi 17th.
