It’s (Almost) WPRA World Finals Time: What and How to Enter in Waco

The WPRA Finals and Elite Barrel Races take of the Extraco Event Center in Waco, Texas, November 5–9, with a pile of opportunities for barrel racers to run at, including a total of $66K in added money and divisions that make a check attainable for every level.

Ladies can enter the WPRA races, Elite races, or BOTH. You can also roll WPRA times into the Elite jackpots for a chance at more money.

WPRA Events:

$15K Added Cardholder Race:

Round 1 Friday, November 7, 11:30 a.m.
Round 2 Saturday, November 8, 11:30 a.m.

Short Go, Sunday, November 9, 10 a.m.

Entry fee: $300

  • 2025 & 2026 WPRA Card Holders
  • 2 long rounds + finals. Top 30 aggregate (total on 2) times from the 2 long rounds will be taken back to the finals round. The fastest 3 run aggregate (to-tal on 3) determines the 2025 WPRA World Finals Average Champion.
  • Money won in the Card Only Race will count toward 2026 WPRA Pro Rodeo World, 2026 Pro Rodeo Rookie World, 2026 Pro Rodeo Texas Circuit and 2026 Pro Rodeo Texas Circuit Rookie Standings.
  • Top 2 ladies in the World Finals Average will qualify for 2026 Rodeo Houston. Please see Rodeo Houston ground rules for complete details. 100% of the added money and 75% of the entry fees going into the purse.

$500 added Gold Card Sidepot, $35 entry fee

  • 2025 & 2026 WPRA Active Gold Card holders
  • Side pot off of the FRIDAY WPRA Card Only or Elite Race
  • You must a have a current 2025 or 2026 WPRA Active Gold Card to be eligible
  • Only one horse/rider may be entered in this side pot
  • Does not count toward Divisional Circuit Standings
  • 100% of the added money and 75% of the entry fees going into the purse

$5K Added Permit Holder Race:

Round 1 Friday, November 7, 10 a.m.
Round 2 Saturday, November 8, 10 a.m.

Short Go, Sunday, November 9, 9 a.m.

Entry fee: $250

  • 2025 & 2026 WPRA Permit Holders
  • 2 long rounds + finals. Top 30 aggregate (total on 2) times from the 2 long rounds will be taken back to the finals round. The fastest 3 run aggregate (total on 3) determines the 2025 WPRA World Finals Average Champion.
  • 100% of the added money and 75% of entry fees going into the purse.
  • The purse is split — 30% to each long round, 10% to the finals round and 30% to the aggregate (total on 3). Rounds will be straight pay.

$1K Added Junior 4D:

Round 1, Saturday, November 8, 2:30 p.m.
Round 2 Sunday, November 9, 8 a.m.

Entry fee: $200

  • 2025 & 2026 WPRA Junior Members
  • 2 long rounds only. The fastest 2 run aggregate (total on 2) determines the 2025 Junior World Finals Average Champion. Contestants may enter multiple horses. In no case will the same horse be run more than once in the same class. All horses must be named at time of entry. Riders with multiple entries must ride their horses in the position in which they drawn. Riders running the wrong horse in any drawn position will be disqualified. Only the high-est placing will count.
  • 100% of the added money and 75% of entry fees going into the purse. 4D 1/2 second between each D
  • 50/50 per round (NO AVERAGE) Follow NBHA guideline for a 4 D—35%(1D)/30%(2D)/20%(3D)/15%(4D)

$500 Division Circuit Sidepot (Card, Permit, Junior), $50 entry fee

  • 2025 & 2026 WPRA Members
  • Side pot off of the SATURDAY WPRA Card Only, Permit Only and Junior, and will count towards 2026 applicable standings
  • Only one horse/rider may be entered in this side pot
  • 100% of the added money and 75% of the entry fees going into the purse

$5K Added Futurity:

Round 1 Friday, November 7, 9 a.m.
Round 2 Saturday, November 8, 9 a.m.

Entry fee: $300

  • 2025 & 2026 WPRA Card, Permit, Active Gold Card, and Junior members.
  • HORSE MUST BE NOMINATED on or prior to November 1st.
  • 2 long rounds only. The fastest 2 run aggregate (total on 2) determines the 2025 WPRA World Finals Average Champion.
  • Includes 1 exhibition Thursday, November 6 at 3:00 PM. Exhibitions will be run in draw order.
  • Will pay out for 2 long rounds and an aggregate (total on 2).
  • Long rounds will pay on the 2D format with a 1 second split between “D”s., with 70% going to the 1D and 30% to the 2D. The aggregate (total on 2) will be paid out in the 1D and 2D. 100% of the added money and 75% of the entry fees going to the purse.
  • Purse split is 30% to each round and 40% to the aggregate (total on 2).

$7.5K Added Derby:

Round 1 Friday, November 7, 8 a.m.
Round 2 Saturday, November 8, 8 a.m.

Entry fee: $300

  • 2025 & 2026 WPRA Card, Permit, Active Gold Card, and Junior members.
  • HORSE MUST BE NOMINATED on or prior to November 1st.
