Barrel racers, one of your favorite former futurity standouts will be making the trip to Globe Life FIeld today with world champion barrel racer, Jordon Briggs—learn about Dashing French Belle, “Barbie,” before she makes her second rodeo run ever on Mar. 9 at The American Rodeo.

Just weeks before The American Rodeo, Briggs announced that her two-time AQHA/WPRA Horse of the Year, Famous Lil Jet, “Rollo,” who carried Briggs to her 2021 world championships and two consecutive NFR’s after will be out for the spring months with a ligament tear. Although the 2023 reserve The American Rodeo champion horse will be missed in Globe Life Field on Mar. 9, Briggs is fired up to take the reins on a mare like Barbie.

“I’m so grateful to the Knights for letting me run Barbie,” Briggs said. “She’s an incredible mare, and Taylor (Hildreth) did an amazing job training her. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to ride her!”

Who is Dashing French Belle?

Dashing French Belle, better known as “Barbie,” is a 2018 mare by legendary barrel racing stallion Dash Ta Fame and out of the great producing mare French Bar Belle by Frenchmans Guy.

She is a lifetime earner of $164,875 in QData, a combination she amassed between running with her trainer, Taylor Hildreth, and Jordynn Knight, whose parents, Carley and Brad own Barbie.

“I couldn’t ask for a better person than Jordon Briggs to showcase a horse I trained on that kind of stage. It’s such a cool opportunity for Barbie, and I have so much confidence in both of them!”
