@barrelracingdotcom

How ya like @Stephanie Fryar and Fantastic Spitfire, “Milania,” (by Guys Canyon Moon out of a @Dash Ta Fame daughter)? They won the first round of their @fwssr bracket, then came back in the Wildcard Round last night to fight their way back into the Semifinals, laying down a smoking 16.44-second run. Fryar made the decision to bring Milania to her first major rodeo stage to preserve her main man, Fast Frank for her chance at the @WCRA Rodeo million-dollar bonus in Corpus Christi. We’ll be closely following Fryar’s road to Corpus Christi, and the #FWSSR tournament at the links in our bio. #BarrelRacing #ProRodeo #Cowgirl #StephanieFryar

HOW DOES THE FWSSR FORMAT WORK?

There are 18 total performances at the FWSSR ProRodeo Tournament with seven brackets of eight barrel racers competing in back-to-back rounds (Performances 1-14). There is one Wild Card Round (Performance 15), two rounds of Semifinals (Performances 16-17) and an eight-man Finals (Performance 18).

PERFORMANCES 1-14: PROGRESSIVE ROUNDS

There will be seven brackets of eight barrel racers competing in back-to-back rounds. The top two money-earning barrel racers in each bracket will progress to the Semifinals. The third top money-earning barrel racer will advance to the Wild Card Round. The barrel racers who do not advance will be placed in a “non-qualifiers” pool. At the conclusion of Bracket 7, the top money-earning barrel racer from the non-qualifiers pool will fill the eighth position in the Wild Card Round.

PERFORMANCE 15: WILD CARD ROUND

From the eight barrel racers in the Wild Card Round, the top two money-earners will advance to the Semifinals Round with a clean slate format.

PERFORMANCES 16-17: SEMIFINALS ROUNDS

Barrel racers will each make one run in one of two performances. The top four barrel racers per performance (eight total) will advance to the Finals.

How are the Semifinals selected from the Brackets?

WPRA Ground Rules: The qualifiers for the two semi-finals performances will be seeded as follows: Semi-Finals number one (performance 16): #1 money winner from bracket 1, #2 money winner from bracket 2, #1 money winner from bracket 3, #2 money winner from bracket 4, #1 money
winner from bracket 5, #2 money winner from bracket 6, #1 money winner from bracket 7, #1
money winner from Wild Card Round. Semi-Finals number two (performance 17): #2 money
winner from bracket 1, #1 money winner from bracket 2, #2 money winner from bracket 3, #1
money winner from bracket 4, #2 money winner from bracket 5, #1 money winner from bracket
6, #2 money winner from bracket 7, #2 money winner from Wild Card Round. The actual
competition order will be drawn randomly. Qualifying contestants or teams will have until the
start of the 7th bracket to trade positions with another contestant from their bracket for the
semi-finals.

PERFORMANCE 18: THE FINALS

The top eight barrel racers will run in the Finals with a clean slate (no previous times carried forward). On that day, the fastest barrel racer wins the title of 2023 Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo ProRodeo Tournament Champion.
