The Money Barrel Sale Preview

All eyes are on the Lazy E Arena this week as Kayla Jones takes listeners behind the scenes of the 2025 Pink Buckle Stallion Select Owners Sale in a special episode of The Money Barrel. With more than 130 head selling—from weanlings and mares in foal to proven performers—Jones breaks down what makes this sale one of the most important days in the barrel horse industry.

“The Pink Buckle sale is where the past, present, and future of our sport meet,” Jones says, highlighting not only the elite pedigrees but also the opportunities that come with owning a sale graduate. Horses sold through the event are eligible for future Sale Grad Bonuses, including the $200,000 Open 4D Sale Grad Incentive and the $100,000 Futurity Sale Grad Program.

She runs through her top picks, from standout pedigrees like Designer Sister (Slick By Design x Royal Sissy Irish), a filly tied to the legendary DM Sissy Hayday, to VQ Mcguinnmaguire, a full sibling to VQ Sucker Punch, and Blazin Rosas, the Blazin Jetolena x Rosas Cantina CC colt bred by Alan Woodbury.
