Four-time World Champion barrel racer Hailey Kinsel will be taking the Kenny Nichols and Dale Barron owned mare, made famous beneath Ivy Conrado Saebens, KN Fabs Gift Of Fame, better known as “JLo,” on the trailer with DM Sissy Hayday to the 2024 National Finals Rodeo.
If there’s one thing about Hailey Kinsel, it’s that she knows how to win on the back of a palomino mare. Whether it’s the winningest barrel horse of all time, DM Sissy Hayday, “Sister,” or that time she won the Women’s Rodeo World Championship on DH Jess Stellar, “Jules,” the brunette cowgirl just seems to mesh with the blonde horses.
Now she’s stepping aboard her close friend’s “JLo,” a 2009 mare by Frenchmans Fabulous and out of Mistys Dash Of Fame by Dash Ta Fame that took Ivy Saebens to multiple NFR showings and the 2019 NFR aggregate title. With over $1 million in recorded lifetime earnings, primarily earned “the hard way,” with miles on the ProRodeo trail, JLo is ranked No. 7 on QData’s all-time barrel racing leaderboard (where Kinsel’s “DM Sissy Hayday “Sister,” sits No. 1). Saebens dropped the official announcement on social media on Nov. 8 after Kinsel and JLo placed third in the inaugural round of The Hondo Rodeo in Phoenix, Arizona.
“I want to emphasize that we still have big goals we want to attain for The Queen, ‘JLo.’ Thankfully, one of my best friends has the opportunity to accelerate the possibility of accomplishing the goals that I have always dreamed of for this mare. If there’s one thing we all know about JLo, it’s that she loves the crowd, she loves the chaos and she really loves the Thomas & Mack!

With where my career and JLo’s age are at, we currently aren’t in a place that I feel comfortable pounding the pavement (on the rodeo trail). She doesn’t deserve to endure the trailer time it takes to get to these events. So, I want to give a huge thank you to Hailey Kinsel for giving JLo this opportunity to compete at The Hondo Rodeo and the NFR 2024!”
