Blazin Black Mamba, a 2020 black stallion, emerged as the top seller at $100,000 from a stellar lineup of horses at the Stallion Owners Select Sale held inside the Lazy E Arena. The event took place on April 25.

Now, Blazin Black Mamba is not to be confused with Blackkout, the black stallion that earned High Seller honors at the 2023 Pink Buckle Stallion Owners Select Sale inside the Lazy E Arena back in October. But, you can read about him here.

The 2020 stallion, sired by Blazin Jetolena and out of Cartel Cowgirl by Dash Ta Fame, was consigned by Jennifer Cook. He has already earned futurity winnings of $95,201 with trainer Pete Oen. Blazin Black Mamba was sold to Taylor & Jacob Estep.

Highlighting the diversity of the field of over 70 well-bred horses, ranging from embryos to 1D proven barrel horses, the second highest seller was Emergency Lane, a 2023 bay colt by The Goodbye Lane and out of VF Chasin Cans by Eddie Stinson. Emergency Lane, consigned by Bryana Lehrmann, sold for $60,000 to McColee Land and Livestock, LLC.

Rounding out the top three, Leslie Bailey’s 2021 mare Exs N Os sold for $48,000 to Lauren Martin, who attended the Ruby Buckle sale with the sole purpose of purchasing Exs N Ohs to be her first futurity horse. Exs N Ohs is by Frenchmans Guy and out of Lindseys Six Moons by Marthas Six Moons.
