Round 1
Taylor Miniat kicked off the week with the 1D win aboard Kissa Goodbye, stopping the clock in 16.691. The 2020 mare is by The Goodbye Lane and out of Ms Baby Girl by Mark My Dial. The go-round paid $20,600 to owners Brad & Karly Knight, plus $2,575 each to the stallion and to the Knights as breeders.
Runner-up in the 1D was Dusky Lynn Hall with KD Baby Driver, a 2018 stallion by A Streak Of Fling out of Watch Me Go Guys by Frenchmans Guy. Their 16.693 earned $14,420, with $1,803 each to the stallion and breeder Kailey Dement.
2D winner: Jaylan Neatherlin and Slick My Jewels in 17.437. The 2019 gelding by Slick By Design out of I Hope To Impress You by Conclusive Illusion paid $8,400 to Neatherlin as owner/rider, plus $1,050 to Neatherlin as breeder and $1,050 to Highpoint Barrel Horses for Slick By Design.

Round 2
Kassie Mowry owned Round 2 with a 16.603 on Force The Goodbye, the 2018 brown gelding by The Goodbye Lane out of VF Forcit First by Burrs First Down. The go paid $41,200 to Mowry, plus $5,150 each to breeder Janelle Blubaughand to the owners of The Goodbye Lane.

Second in the 1D was Taylor Miniat aboard JH Single Lady in 16.617. The 2018 mare is by The Goodbye Lane out of Oh La Stel by Stel Corona, owned by Sawmill Ranch and bred by Jarrod & Josie Hales. Payouts were $14,420 to the owner and $1,803 each to the stallion and breeder.
2D winner (Round 2): Jessie Havener with Drivin In Talent at 17.359. The 2018 bay gelding is by Prime Talent out of Leona Driver by My Designated Driver, owned by Gabe & Jessie Havener and bred by Christy Willert & Sarah Krehbiel (Pretty Prairie, KS). The win paid $8,400, with $1,050 each to the stallion and breeder.

Round 1
It was Lora Nichols who set the tone in the opening round of the Pink Buckle Futurity aboard Blissful Version, clocking a 16.864-second run to top the 1D. The 2020 brown gelding is by Winners Version out of Blissful Bay by Brookstone Bay. Nichols, who owns the gelding with her husband Nick of Pavillion, Wyoming, earned $28,000 for the win, with $3,500 each to breeder A & C Racing and Roping of Roosevelt, Utah, and to the stallion’s incentive earnings.
Second in the 1D went to Heidi Gunderson with a roll from the Young Guns League Futurity on and Wonder If I’m Lucky, the 2021 bay gelding by Lucky Wonder Horse out of T5 Sunnys Superstar by PC Mr Sun Peppy. Owned by Shannon Kulseth of Purcell, Oklahoma, and bred by Stephanie Cleveland of Bristow, Oklahoma, the team stopped the clock in 16.902, earning $19,600 for the owner and $2,450 eachto the stallion and breeder.
Taking the 2D win was Caroline Boucher aboard Packinstolistingers, a 2020 sorrel gelding by Feel the Sting out of Gabbyspackindiamonds by Stoli. The pair clocked 17.616, earning $9,000 for Boucher, with $1,125 each to the stallion and breeder Tony and Holly Fenoglio of Nocona, Texas

Round 2
The second round of the Pink Buckle Futurity went to Ceri Ward and Gamblingslick, who clocked a 16.558-second run to top more than 370 futurity horses in Guthrie. The 2021 brown mare is by Slick By Design and out of HMB Soon Tobe Famous by Dash Ta Fame, owned and ridden by Ward of Ardmore, Oklahoma, and bred by Brandon Stokes and Mike Austin of West Jordan, Utah. Ward earned $28,000 for the round win, with $3,500 each to the stallion and breeder.
Taking second in the 1D was Steely Steiner with Get Tha Goody, a 2020 sorrel stallion by The Goodbye Lane out of Teena Turner by Blazin Jetolena. The Steiner Ranches LLC-owned horse from Weatherford, Texas, earned $19,600, with $2,450 each to the stallion and breeder.
The 2D win went to Bailey Dotten and Ima Jolly Guy, a 2020 sorrel gelding by Ima Talented Guy out of Jolly Inez by Burrs First Down. Dotten, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, earned $9,000, along with $1,125 each to the stallion and breeder Karl H. Smith of Lucedale, Mississippi.

Average Results
Consistency paid off as Ceri Ward and Gamblingslick clinched the Pink Buckle Futurity Average Championship with a total time of 33.223 seconds. The 2021 brown mare by Slick By Design and out of HMB Soon Tobe Famous by Dash Ta Fame earned Ward $53,900, with $6,738 each to the stallion and breeder Brandon Stokes and Mike Austin.

Second in the average went to Jessica Leach and Aint An Angel, who finished with a combined 33.262 seconds. The 2020 bay mare is by Aint Seen Nothin Yet and out of JL Sirocco by JL Dash Ta Heaven. Leach earned $38,500, with $4,813 each to the stallion and breeder Jared Leach.
Third in the average was Lora Nichols with Blissful Version, the 2020 brown gelding by Winners Version and out of Blissful Bay by Brookstone Bay. Nichols, of Pavillion, Wyoming, and her husband Nick own the gelding bred by A&C Racing and Roping of Roosevelt, Utah. The 2D Average Championship went to Hailey Humphrey and El Diabla De Roarrr, a 2020 bay mare by Roarr and out of Diablas Misty River by Big Time Favorite. She earned $11,050, with $1,381 eachto the stallion and breeder John Youngblood.

The 1D title went to Dusky Lynn Hall of Huntsville, Texas, riding KD Baby Driver, a 2017 sorrel gelding by A Streak of Fling out of Watch Me Go Guys by Frenchmans Guy. Hall, who also owns and bred the standout gelding, posted a 16.693-second run worth $1,980.
Hall also claimed the 1D runner-up spot aboard Aint Seen Famous Yet, a 2014 palomino gelding by Aint Seen Nothin Yet out of A Nasty Chick by Its Royal Time, bred by Kaylee Little of Rozet, Wyoming. The pair finished in 16.853 seconds to earn $1,320.
2D
The 2D victory belonged to Blake Andrews, who guided Epic Purple Rain to a 17.227-second run worth $1,800. The 2018 palomino mare by Epic Leader out of Docs Yellow Diamond by Smoky Twist Chick is owned and bred by Nadia Defelice of Killeen, Texas.
3D
Merrick Moyer rode Hiccup to the 3D win with a 17.720, earning $1,800. The 2015 gelding by MP Jet To The Sun out of Miss Patricia N by Briscoe County Jr is owned by Shawn and Rickki Moyer and bred by Ceri Ward, all of Woodward, Oklahoma.
4D
The 4D championship went to Harlee G. Stevens aboard Goodgraciousshezabug, who turned in an 18.193-second run worth $1,800. The 2015 sorrel mare by Shawne Bug Leo out of Movin With Grace by Tax Redeemer was bred and is owned by Monica Yarbrough of Cabot, Arkansas.
5D
Closing out the round, Joplynn Spencer and Winners Blu Bayou topped the 5D with an 18.759, earning $1,800. The 2016 sorrel gelding by Winners Version out of Bolexie Blue by Chicks A Blazin is owned by Amber Spencer of Roosevelt, Utah, and bred by A & C Racing and Roping.
