Stephanie Fryar and Some Streakin French, better known as Fast Frank, won the average title at Rodeo Corpus Christi Saturday night, banking $10,653 on the weekend with a 26.53 on two head.

Fryar and Frank placed fifth in Round 1 at 13.37 for $2,747, then tied Kappie Bryant for the short-round win at 13.16 to add $2,137 each. The average winner’s check brought another $5,769.

“Frank’s doing really good,” Fryar said. “We’re back healthy, and he feels amazing.”

The Texas cowgirl has been picking her spots this spring, running a handful of ProRodeos and a few of the bigger-paying jackpots while leaving the summer schedule loose.

“We’re just going with the vibes,” Fryar said. “If it plays out where I take off and go for the summer run, that would be amazing. But if not, I’ve got four really nice horses to get ready for the fall run.”

Frank, 11 this year, has been Fryar’s consistent partner at rodeos, jackpot and aged events for multiple years. Asked what makes the Frenchmans Fabulous gelding so dominant in tighter sets, she didn’t hesitate.

It’s really his consistency and honesty that shine,” Fryar said.

Fryar was the last athlete to chase the WCRA’s Triple Crown of Rodeo million-dollar bonus before the organization dissolved and the format went with it. Her 2026 performance marked a triumphant return to the same arena that cost Fryar her chance at the million after winning two of the previous WCRA events.

The next stop is Fort Worth. The inaugural Premier Women’s Rodeo Finals kick off with Round 1 Tuesday, May 12 at Cowtown Coliseum and run through Friday’s championship round, with $803,000 in total event purse on the line.

Frank hasn’t been to Northside in about two years, but Fryar’s pumped up to get him back in the historic building after a weekend building momentum down South.

“Frank’s feeling himself,” Fryar said. “I think it’s going to be a great week.”
