The points are tallied on the conclusion of the 2024 NFR Playoff Series, and all eyes are on the Sioux Falls Governor’s Cup to see which 12 barrel racers will compete for the $144,444 payout and keep their National Finals Rodeo dreams alive in 2024.
Barrel racers competed all throughout 2024 at the NFR Playoff Series approved events in hopes of locking down a qualification as one of 24 at the Washington State Fair in Puyallup, Washington, in mid September.
From Puyallup, the top four finishers earned an automatic advancement to the Governor’s Cup, while the remaining positions are made up of the top eight barrel racers on the Playoff Series leaderboard at the conclusion of Pendleton, Abilene and Alburquerque’s ProRodeos the weekend of Sept. 16.

Sioux Falls Governor’s Cup
Added Money: $144,444
Format: The 12 qualifiers will compete across two rounds for a position into the final eight. From the eight-man Semifinals, four return to the final shootout round for a chance at the Governor’s Cup championship.
Qualifiers are unofficial and list will be updated when official callbacks are released the evening of Sept. 17, 2024.
