The 2024 National Finals Rodeo boasts a record-breaking payout of $12,376,504, marking the fourth consecutive year of increasing prize money for all of the seven approved ProRodeo events, including barrel racing.

From 2015 to 2020, the NFR payout was set at $10 million, comprising $8.8 million in competition earnings and $1.2 million as guaranteed prize money for qualifiers. Recent years have seen steady increases, with the total reaching $10,257,048 in 2021, $10,900,098 in 2022, and $11,501,504 in 2023. This year’s jump solidifies 2024 as the highest-paying NFR in history, providing competitors with an unprecedented opportunity to earn.
