Reno Rodeo was undoubtedly the main topic of conversation in ProRodeo barrel racing this week. Sharin Hall and Hello Stella came right out of the gate as pacesetters, earning the first-round win in 17.09 seconds and earning $4,625. They held onto the aggregate lead for a while, until Hailey Kinsel showed up aboard DM Sissy Hayday with a solid first-round run and blitzed a 16.91 in the second round, earning the $4,625 win and taking the commanding led of the aggregate going into the short round.
In the short round, Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi and Jets Top Gun—the Busby Quarter Horses-owned won of Blazin Jetolena who just won the Colorado Classic Derby with Tonozzi—shocked the crowd with a 16.70-second run to nose Kinsel out of the agregate championship and earn $6,937 with a time of 51.35 seconds on three head. Kinsel earned the second-place honors and $5,936 with her 51.36 on three.
