Reliance Ranches continues to build its program around stallions with strong foundations on the track and clear potential beyond it, and Jess Fire Me fits squarely in that approach.
The 2019 brown stallion by Walk Thru Fire and out of Jess Sass Me (by Mr Jess Perry) retired with $242,422 in earnings and a Register of Merit, and now stands at Lazy E Ranch in Guthrie, Oklahoma, for a $2,500 stud fee.

His credentials start on the track, and carry forward on paper.

Jess Fire Me’s dam, Jess Sass Me, is a stakes winner with a 107 speed index and more than $110,000 in earnings. As a producer, she has earned AQHA Dam of Distinction honors, with progeny earnings exceeding $2.7 million, along with multiple Broodmare of the Year nominations.
That kind of production record is what keeps a maternal line relevant across generations.
Sired by Walk Thru Fire, one of racing’s leading influences, Jess Fire Me comes from a line responsible for more than 90 stakes winners and over $41 million in offspring earnings.
On the bottom side, you’ll find AQHA Hall of Famer Mr Jess Perry —all-time third leading broodmare sire of money earners and one of the most recognized sires in Quarter Horse racing.
Jess Fire Me’s first foal crop will reach the track as 2-year-olds in 2026, with many expected to transition through Reliance Ranches’ Second Career program into other disciplines.
That system continues to connect race-bred horses with performance homes, offering prospects that come with early training and a strong athletic foundation.
“He is going to complement any mare you cross him with,” said Lazy E Ranch manager Monty McNair. “He has an exceptional mind, correct conformation, and an unbeatable pedigree. We’re excited to see what his foals go on to do.”
