Semifinals Draw for the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo Barrel Racing

Barrel racers Dona Kay Rule, Stephanie Fryar and Ivy Saebens fight through the wild card round on Wednesday night to join athletes in the FWSSR semifinals.
NFR qualifier Dona Kay Rule and High Valor topped the FWSSR Wild Card with a time of 16.26.

National Finals Rodeo qualifier Dona Kay Rule topped the wild card round with a 16.26-second run on Wednesday, Feb. 2, and pocketed $1,000 in earnings. Stephanie Fryar shaved two-tenths of a second off of her previous best time to finish in second place with a 16.35-second run and earn $600. Ivy Saebens also earned $400 in the wild card round with her 16.52 to land in the third-place position. Fortunately for Saebens her third place finish allows her to fill in for a turn out (Lynette Clyde); technically only the top two athletes from the wild card advanced to the rodeo’s semifinals.

Rule, Fryar and Saebens will join athletes who secured their semifinals spots by finishing in the top two positions in each of the seven tournament brackets. Read full bracket coverage here.
