The World Championship Junior Rodeo (WCJR) will return to the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma in July and there’s several barrel racers and pole benders putting their name on the nomination list to earn their way to the $145,000 in guaranteed added money.
Similar to years past, there’s three ways to qualify for the WCJR—through a qualifier series event, last chance qualifier or the leaderboard route. The top 15 contestants per timed discipline and the top three in the roughstock in the VRQ standings on the 2026 WCJR Leaderboard as of June 14 will earn a direct spot in the semifinals with no additional entry fee.
