The Patriot Fort Worth barrel race kicks off for barrel racers on Tuesday, March 4, 2024 at the Will Rogers, and there’s a ton of changes going into the new-and-improved event.

Under new management, the event promises a fresh perspective and an array of improvements. Equine Network has been diligently collecting feedback from barrel racers about previous events and implementing valuable insights to enhance this year’s Patriot race.

One of the most significant improvements comes in the form of enhanced footing, addressing concerns raised by participants in past races. Equine Network has prioritized footing quality to ensure optimal conditions for both horse and rider and is working daily on preparing top-tier footing for horses and riders of all ages.

But that’s not all—Equine Network is also upping the ante with generous cash prizes. With $20,000 added to the Futurity, $10,000 to the Young Guns, and $20,000 to the 5D Open class, plus a The American Rodeo Contender Series qualifier and a BBR member sidepot, it’s game on in Fort Worth. The entries are open to the world, but the last day to enter without a late fee is Feb. 13, 2024. After that, online late fees increase to $20, and can go as high as $50 per entry at the event in March.

If you’re planning to participate, don’t delay: only positions for Friday’s section of Open barrel racing remain open for entries, while the Young Guns and Futurity still have adequate space. Stalls are almost nearly sold out on-site.

All the cool kids will be there, so find out more about The Patriot here.
