Albuquerque, New Mexico, February 22, 2024 – The Pink Buckle, Ruby Buckle and Young Guns League incentives will launch its inaugural Double-Down Sidepot for riders who wish to multiply their barrel racing earnings on horses enrolled in its incentives at the Patriot Fort Worth barrel race.

Under this initiative, horses competing at participating Double-Down races can double their earnings from the event if they have a current nomination in the Pink Buckle, Ruby Buckle or Young Guns League stallion incentive programs.

“We are excited to debut this new program which will give our customers more opportunities throughout the year to benefit from participating in our programs,” Chad Beus, co-owner of the Pink and Ruby Buckle, said. “There will now be more places Pink Buckle, Ruby Buckle and Young Guns League horses can run for more money in their backyards.  Our goal is to offer 10 of these sidepot opportunities in conjunction with various premium races throughout the year.  We are excited to kick off this new program with The Patriot, which is now owned by Equine Network, that is also our new partner in Pink Buckle, Ruby Buckle and Young Guns League.”

The Patriot’s Fort Worth installment, taking place at Will Rogers Coliseum from March 4-10, marks the first elite race where Pink Buckle, Ruby Buckle and Young Guns League horses that can participate in the Double-Down program.

The Double-Down bonus applies specifically to the $20,000-added Open 5D Finals on Saturday, March 10, during The Patriot Fort Worth event. By entering the Double-Down sidepot, Pink Buckle, Ruby Buckle and Young Guns League will be eligible for the rider’s earnings match in any division for any horses that have a current nomination in any of the three incentives. Horses competing in the $20,000-added Futurity and $10,000-added Young Guns youth race can also opt to roll their time to the Open race, giving them an equal opportunity to qualify for Saturday’s short round and capitalize on the multiplier.

“We are thrilled to launch this program at The Patriot’s race,” TC Long, Equine Network’s Director of the Patriot Program, said. “Our crew has been working around-the-clock to make this revitalized Fort Worth event a great experience for all disciplines and in particular the barrel racers at all levels, and the Double Down sidepot is going to be a great way for riders to maximize their earnings on incentive horses, whether they’re one of our youth athletes, a professional trainer or at any level in between, thanks to the bonus applying to all divisions in the Finals.”
