SOUTH JORDAN, Utah — The Ruby Buckle West Barrel Race runs June 23–27 at the Bastian Agricultural Center in South Jordan, Utah, with more than $1.22 million in guaranteed payouts on the line across the Open 5D, Futurity, Derby, and youth and amateur divisions. The Ruby Buckle West is the second of three Ruby Buckle regional barrel races on the 2026 calendar, each built on equal payouts and a format designed to reward depth across the field. The Open 5D pays evenly with half-second splits. The 2D Futurity and 2D Derby run on three-quarter second splits.
2026 Ruby Buckle West Schedule
Wednesday, June 24 kicks off competition with Derby Round 1 at 8 a.m., followed by Futurity Round 1. Thursday, June 25 picks back up at 8 a.m. with Derby Round 2 and Futurity Round 2, closing with the $10,000 added Classic Equine Breeders Open 4D Jackpot.
Friday, June 26 opens with Youth, Rookie Ruby, and Open exhibitions at 8 a.m., followed by Youth Round 1, Rookie Ruby Round 1, and Open 5D Round 1. Saturday, June 27 closes the event with Youth Round 2, Rookie Ruby Round 2, and Open 5D Round 2.
All exhibitions run in draw order with a 45-second time limit.
