Defending Derby aggregate champion Michelle Alley returned to the Lazy E and picked up where she left off. Alley and Lipstick N Stilletos ran a 16.747 to top the 1D, worth $6,250 to owner Heather Moeller of Iola, Texas. Carlee Otero of Perrin, Texas was second on her own AM Regina George in 16.799 ($4,250). Alissa Flores of Laredo, Texas took third on her own Hossta La Vista in 16.824 ($3,250).

Brittany Tonozzi backed up her Round 1 win by taking the Futurity 1D average on the Tonozzi family’s homebred Blazzin The Way in 33.979, worth $16,000 to Brittany and Garrett Tonozzi of Lampasas, Texas. The aggregate gives the Blazin Jetolena son out of Ima Famous Babe a sweep on the week and adds another marquee line to a Tonozzi maternal family she has spent more than a decade building.

Twelve-year-old Dusky Lynn Hall and her own Tornado Lane were second in 34.190 for $11,200, sliding from a runner-up Round 2 finish into a runner-up aggregate finish on the 4-year-old gelding by The Goodbye Lane bred by Brandi Zimmer of Bowie, Texas. Andrea Cline and her own Lady Slye, a Slye By Design mare she bred herself, were third in 34.194 ($8,800).
