Team Texas athlete Devin Young turned in the fastest time in round one on Tuesday evening with a 17.193-second trip, while her fellow Texan, Dessa Text, was hot on her heels with a 17.223.
Friday morning, Rachel Ward took a commanding lead of the second go-round with a 17.024-second trip on Smokin Diamonds, a.k.a. “Bullet.” Utah’s Morgan Beckstrom was bumped to No. 2 in both the round and the aggregate in the process.
