The tournament-style winter rodeos continue with the 2026 San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo. One of the premier stops of the winter run, San Antonio runs Feb. 12–28 and features a unique format where the barrel racing champion is crowned based on total money won throughout the rodeo.

San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Barrel Racing Format
There are five brackets consisting of 10 athletes competing in three back-to-back rounds. The top four money earners from each bracket advance to the clean-slate semifinals.
Contestants who do not advance to the Finals from the semifinals will compete in the Wildcard round. The fastest time in the Wildcard advances to the clean-slate Finals.
The Finals will consist of 11 athletes. The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo barrel racing champion is determined by total money won during the rodeo.
