About The American Breeders Elite

Introducing The American Breeders Elite, a barrel horse incentive program spearheaded by Helen Nowosad. Building on the success of The Breeders Elite in Canada, the program is now launching in the U.S.

The initiative offers 200 breeder slots available for purchase before the January 1st, 2024 deadline. The cost is $5000 per breeder slot, covering all bred horses and offspring from one stallion. Additional stallions owned by the breeder can be nominated for $1500 each, and there are no foal nomination fees.

With all breeder slots sold, The American Breeders Elite anticipates an $800,000 weekend payout before entries, with payouts growing as entries increase. The annual event at Circle T Arena in Hamilton, Texas, from April 4-7, 2024, features classes such as 4D Open, 2D Futurity, 2D Derby, and 3D Youth, offering a projected payout of over $400,000 in combined payouts for breeders and stallion owners.

The program aims to give back to breeders and stallion owners while providing international recognition for their contributions to the industry.

The inaugural event is scheduled at Circle T Arena in Hamilton, Texas, with eligibility determined in one of three ways: by being bred by a nominated breeder, sired by a nominated stallion, or being a nominated stallion. Follow The American Breeders Elite on Facebook and Instagram for updates. Slots are limited, so act now to have your program eligible for the April 2024 competition. Click here for more information.
