California barrel racer Hayle Gibson-Stillwell has climbed into the WPRA top 10 in 2025 aboard her home-raised mare Buncha Dinero, plus RDC DancingToTheLead putting her in the thick of the NFR conversation.

Hayle’s journey this season is defined by long hauls from the West Coast, consistency across major rodeos, and Piper’s rise from a lightly seasoned futurity horse to one of the most reliable mounts in the game.

She loves the game and thinks everyone showed up for her—that’s why we call her Passionate Piper,” Hayle said of the six-year-old mare who has carried her through circuit titles and a breakout summer run.

In this episode of The Money Barrel, Hayle talks about:

  • Growing up in California and hauling thousands of miles to chase rodeos
  • Raising Piper from an embryo transfer and developing her into a contender
  • The challenges of balancing multiple horses and setbacks with her mare Fancy
  • Her mindset for the last month of the season: “We’re going day by day. I’m just enjoying the journey and letting Piper shine.”
