Bizzy Bee’s Grand Prix generated more than 2,100 runs in Stephenville, London Gorham stacked money on the weekend and San Antonio’s Texas Swing picture tightened as brackets continued to unfold on this week’s The Rundown on The Money Barrel.

ProRodeo

The Southeastern swing is gaining momentum.

Margo Crowther and Prisonerr (Mister x Shes Packing Fame) won more than $5,600 at Silver Spurs in Kissimmee, a major early boost in her home circuit.

Blake Molle topped Okeechobee for $3,756, with Katie Halbert and Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi also collecting checks.

Josey Murphy won Jackson for $4,600+ and added additional money in Kissimmee and Perry, giving her a strong early circuit start.

Ashley Parks and Bindi earned $2,300 at North Fort Myers and added a Perry check to continue building momentum.

Kathy Grimes and KG Just Money (“Showie”) won Perry, Georgia for $2,829 after winning Yuma the previous week. They followed it up in San Antonio with a 14.10, currently the fastest time of the rodeo.

San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo

Bracket 3

  • Kathy Grimes: 14.10 (fastest time so far)
  • Hailey Kinsel and BCK Spyder Monkey tied to win the bracket after three consistent rounds ($5,504 earned)
  • Loralee Ward won Round 3 aboard Jerry (Filthy Fast N French x Flos Nicknack)

Advancing: Kinsel, Ward, Grimes, Haylie Gibson-Stillwell.

All competitors wore pins honoring Kellyanne Lutal and shared awareness for Kindness4KellyAnne and the Heaven’s 27 Foundation.

Bracket 4

Bracket 5 is underway as semifinals approach.


Futurities

Bizzy Bee Productions hosted The Grand Prix at 377 Arena in Stephenville, Texas, featuring a $15,000 Futurity, $5,000 Derby, Breeders Challenge qualifier, $5,000 Sweepstakes and Rodeo Austin qualifier.

More than 2,100 runs were made across three days.

Open Futurity

Molli Montgomery dominated aboard the full siblings:

  • Heavens Gone Wild (JLDTH x LegsGoneWild)
  • Heavens Wild Side

Both are owned by the Hinton family.

Montgomery:

  • Won both rounds (over $4,500 each)
  • Won the average ($9,824)
  • Captured the futurity slot sidepot ($6,000)
  • Placed ninth in the average on the sibling

Weekend total exceeded $36,000.

Derby

Dusky Lynn Hall and Chasin A Win won Round 1 (15.3).

Skyler Nicholas and The Dream Crusher (Makin Ya Famous x Stoli My Guy) won Round 2 (15.260).

London Gorham finished second in the go-round and secured the Derby average title ($7,000).

Nicholas finished reserve in the average ($6,075), won the Amateur Derby ($1,200), and captured the Amateur Futurity aboard Perrywater Bug.

Dusky Lynn Hall won nearly $100K on the weekend between Open, high stakes, derby and more earnings on her A-list lineup.
