South Jordan, UT – A benefit barrel race and silent auction will be held on Sunday, June 30, at the Bastian Agricultural Center in South Jordan, Utah, to support 3-year-old Levi Wright and his family.
Levi, the son of Spencer and Kallie Wright, was involved in an accident on the family’s ranch on May 21, resulting in a significant loss of oxygen to his brain. While his condition remains critical, the barrel racing community has rallied to provide immediate support, organizing this benefit event within 24 hours of the incident.
“This situation is unimaginable,” said Kayla Jones, host of The Money Barrel and a close family friend. “In addition to praying, we want to ensure that the Wright family can focus entirely on being with their son. Our goal is to alleviate any financial burdens during this challenging time.”
The benefit will take place just one day after the 2024 Ruby Buckle West Race, encouraging contestants to remain in South Jordan for an extra day. Renowned footing expert Jake Van and his team have generously donated their time and equipment to ensure optimal conditions for the event. There is $2,000 added to the prize pot, with more sponsors joining in to increase the added money.
Community members who wish to donate can send Venmo donations to @KallieDawnWright, and click here to go to Levi’s auction page and learn how to bid or donate.
