Emily Beisel and Tana Renick were the talk of Duncan, Okla. on Oct 17-19, 2024 at the Ram Prairie Circuit Finals Rodeo, and those cowgirls are as gritty as the star horses they rode in on en route to earning their own Prairie Circuit barrel racing titles and punching tickets to 2025’s NFR Open in Colorado Springs.
Tana Renick claims aggregate championship
Tana Renick walked out with the aggregate after winning both the second and third go-rounds, plus pulling second behind Beisel in Round 1. Her efforts paid off to the tune of $9,685 in earnings across the event on Wild Childs Fling or “Fonzie,” her Streakin Boon Dox out of the producing mare XV Wild Child.
XV Wild Child was a prairie circuit standout who won multiple circuit titles on her own for Renick, then carried on her legacy as a producer with multiple champions. For Renick’s 2024 performance, she was aboard ,Fonzie, a 2016 model out of XV Wild Child and by Streakin Boon Dox, who Renick also ran during his career.
In addition to Fonzie, “Teddy,” has produced money-earners like Emma Charleston’s TR DesignerWildChild, B Spur N Ranch’s WildChildsGotCashUno whom Kelly Allen jockeyed on the ProRodeo trail in 2023.

Emily Beisel’s dream team prevails for year-end
Emily Beisel’s team of horses not only helped her snag a position inside the top 5 in the WPRA World Standings and earn over $150K on the season, they’ve helped her maintain top status in the Prairie Circuit for 12 years. In Round 1, Namgis D 35, “Pipewrench,” ran down the alleyway at his tenth consecutive RPCF and earned the victory.
In Round 2 and 3, Beisel picked Teasin Dat Guy, the same yellow mare that Beisel’s fellow barrel racers voted as the Prairie Circuit Horse of the Year and picked up another round check en route to a reserve aggregate finish. After entering the RPCF in the No. 1 position, Beisel added $5,554 to her regular season earnings total to finish with the year-end championship and $27,909.
