Produced and broadcast by The Cowboy Channel, the inaugural Cowboy Channel Rookie Roundup presented by Resistol is designed to showcase the star power of up-and-coming young rodeo athletes while providing them with a lucrative earnings opportunity.
What: The first ever $100,000-added Cowboy Channel Rookie Roundup presented by Resistol
When: April 29-30, matinee performances each day beginning at 2 p.m. (CT)
Where: Cowtown Coliseum in iconic Fort Worth Stockyards – Fort Worth, Texas
Who: The top 15 contenders from the 2022 Resistol Rookie Standings. The first performance will feature all 15 contestants in a single tournament style go-round of competition. The top eight contestants in each event advance to compete in Performance 2 on Saturday, April 30.

Round 1, April 29 @ 2 p.m. – Live pre-show followed by Round 1 coverage from the Fort Worth Stockyards of the Cowboy Channel Resistol Rookie Round Up
Round 2, April 30 @ 2 p.m. – Features the top eight contestants of the Resistol Rookie Roundup looking to advance to the top four championship round where they will be vying for the $100,000 purse.

In addition to competing for $100,000, each of the contestants will also receive a gift bag of items from The Cowboy Channel that can be used to help them get down the road during their rookie year.
The Resistol Rookie of the Year Award is one of the top awards that can be earned by PRCA and WPRA members. Money won during the Cowboy Channel Rookie Roundup presented by Resistol will count toward the Resistol Rookie Standings but will not be credited toward NFR qualification.
